What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Newsletter

We collect your email address when you subscribe to our monthly newsletter “The Flying Rabbit”. The newsletter will contain information about our website, business and new products as well promotions.

Your information will be stored as long as you wish and you can at any given time unsubscribe from our newsletter. We do not send spam and will never send you more than one newsletter a month. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter on your user profile, or by clicking on the link given on each newsletter. You can also send us an email to newsletter@egelomagic.com with the subject “UNSUBSCRIBE” and your email.

When you unsubscribe from our newsletter, we will immediately destroy your data. We take your privacy and ownership of your information very seriously and will never keep your information stored as log as you want we to do it and want to hear from us.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

Data collected in contact form may be your email address and name, as well the message you sent. This data is not used for anything else than answering your questions. This data is eliminated after your questions are resolved and may not be stored longer than the is needed.

That means the data will be destroyed after your question or issue is resolved.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Orders on our web shop

We collect relevant information in order to send you the product you may order on our website. This information is: Your Full Name, Full Address and contact information (telephone and email). This information is only collected in order to send you your package and to keep for accounting/legal purposes.

Who we share your data with

We share your personal information related to orders with Paypal which is our main payment system, if you buy any product at our webshop. You can read more on Paypal privacy policies here: https://www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
We also share your order related data with the Norwegian government, and only for obligatory accounting and legal reasons.
No other data collected at www.egelomagic.com is shared with any other third-party.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The information which is hared with the government for accounting reasons only, is kept for at least 10 years, as current law states.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.

How we protect your data

All information sent by the user and the site is encrypted meaning no one can have access to it. Our store is also powered by anti-virus and anti-spam system.

Resuming what we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
